Onions to cry for by dide

Onions to cry for

This was taken the other day near Te Kauwhata when @julzmaioro and I were out tiki touring.
What a backbreaking job to trim and bag all these red onions by hand. Hopefully they are all stored safely in sheds now, as there has been torrential rain over the past few days (we had 6 inches here!).
This is an amazing shot. Shows a lot of work has been going on there

What a wonderful sight -- a great pov

Lots of work there but well worth it to harvest a good crop like that. The farmer would breath a sigh of relief when that is stored away.
I like how you composed this shot.

Wow.... that looks like hard work! The bundles make a great shot all lined up the way they are!

Love this shot of the rows of filled bags. Just grateful I didn't have to participate in the harvest. Ouch.

That's an impressive image of rows of bags so neatly placed. But what's a "tiki touring'? (btw, I'm allergic to onions and very sensitive to the smell and I recall how strong the smell is in some places in New Zealand . . . perhaps wild onions?)

@jyokota tiki tour is a drive around the NZ countryside (a tiki is a Maori greenstone good luck charm). Yes there's lots of wild onion plants on the roadsides around NZ.

@dide -- so you mean when my husband and I drove all around the north island it was a "tiki tour"?

@jyokota absolutely!
