We are in the South Island for a week. @julzmaioro and our husbands are staying in Wedderburn, a tiny place in Central Otago. We are doing a camera course with Allan and Kim Cox. After some lovely light this afternoon, then dinner at the local hotel, we decided to go and take some night sky images. Imagine our delight when we discovered the Aurora happening right before our eyes! Simply magic and the first time I have ever witnessed this! Allan and Kim did so well to turn on this show especially for us….
Absolutely wonderful experience and you have captured it so well. We saw the Northern Lights recently which really took our breath away and would love to "do the double"!
Totally magic, so good to see something like this. How wonderful for you, thanks for sharing. If the guys could guarantee an aurora australis display I'd even consider flying over for the course. Just joking, of course.
WOW Dianne! Well done! And this must be the teacher you told me about. I can't wait until next summer . . . I hope I can learn how to capture the Aurora like this -- are they called the Southern Lights?
