We had Book Parade at school today, where you had to dress up as a character from a book. As I had just finished reading Paddington Bear to a junior class, it seemed appropriate to dress up as P.B. I had to change the traditional colours a bit, as I could only find a red coat (too small) and red boots (too big!). Mum's outdoor bowling case had to do and a felt hat that was somewhat the wrong shape. Oh well! A fun day and the kids all enjoyed dressing up.
Very well done. I was Just thinking about Paddington Bear today while my grandson played with Big Bear, and wondered if we should get him a red jacket.
@beryl@jamibann I had thought about taking a jar of marmalade, but my track record with glass jars at school isn't so good. A couple of weeks ago, the class I was in made butter and somehow two glass jars were broken…. cream all over the carpet - doesn't smell so good in there now!
