Winter trees really get a chance to show off their shapes. After seeing the severe pruning on the trees near @ethelperry the other day, I was pleased to see these trees were left to grow to their full potential.
Lovely old trees.......just wondering what is the history of the name 'Cornwall Park'.......as I live in Cornwall UK......wondered if it was a mining area and some 'Cousin Jack's' had emigrated there for work ???
How beautiful. You really get how I felt about the gross amputation I witnessed. It is different from judicious pruning for whatever reason. Beautiful photo
@cutekitty In about 1840 many people from England and Scotland started to colonise NZ, so we have lots of place names and cultural practices reflecting this ( including a hot Christmas Day dinner and plum pudding on a sweltering summers day!)
A FAV!
