On the way home yesterday, we called into a small but well-kept maritime museum. I really loved the model ships and was most taken with this model of The Cutty Sark. Each model apparently takes about 800 hours to make!
The Cutty Sark was a British clipper ship, built in Scotland in 1869. She was a tea clipper and one of the fastest. Later, the Cutty Sark was used to transport wool from Australia. She was used for many years as a training ship and was retired in 1954. The Cutty Sark can now be found in dry dock in Greenwich, London, as a museum public display ship.
Great shots of this beautiful shipmodel. Fav. Have visit the real one.
