Honoring Those Who Have Served
photo 692
Today's photo is to honor those that have served and died to protect our country. This statue of a navy soldier is marking the grave of a man that served in World War 11. I want to express my thanks and gratitude to all of you men and women who have served in any of the armed forces to protect our country and our freedoms. I do not know of a greater sacrifice that one could make for someone and for that I say thank-you.
@gwhit123 thank you so much for the kind words. My ex husband saw combat.....and so when i think of veterans and service, this is the side i think of - - not the flag waving and stuff. i really appreciate your comments.
Thank you to all who participated on this thread, greatly appreciated it very much. Glad that even in a small way we could show our appreciation to those who gave their lives for each one of us and to our Country. The pictures says it all and great capture of the meaning behind it. Thanks again and great pictures everyone.
