I saw a video on YouTube yesterday about "Deadpan photography", I never knew there was such a thing as deadpan photography, but I think some of the photos I take certainly could fit in this style.
Quick summary of the style:
Simple composition: place subject in the middle, remove distractions, no "creative" camera angles. shoot subject straight on
Flat light: low contrast, no bright highlights or dark shadows
Neutral or desaturated colours or B&W
No emotion, no story, detach yourself from subject.

Very interesting - thank you for the link! Am very willing to give it a try. In fact, I probably have done many deadpan shots without even realising it actually had a name.
Fascinating approach, looking forward to giving it a try, however, this might wait as the sun is going to around for a couple of days and I am just happy to see it
