Help me decide what to take a photo of!!!! Please!!!!

Yourself. (Looks like you could do with a Profile Picture, so that's as good a starting point as any...)

Pick a theme, perhaps for a week, a month, or a year.

I actually think it makes life easier if you have a theme - that way, rather than being faced with millions of possibilities every day you go out with the start of a plan.

And remember to carry your camera always!!

Out of your front door, 50 steps, take a shot, 50 more steps, take a shot, repeat until card is full!

Or try shooting for one of the weekly themes listed on the right here.

Or record what you eat today, or where you eat it.

Or use 365 to document your life, make your daily image represent what you did today - and take your camera everywhere (and I mean everywhere, my image yesterday was taken in a friend's bathroom - she had interesting new tiles on the wall!)

Try the monthly challenge for a different word every day. Try the weekly theme or have a look at any of these http://365project.org/discuss/themes-competitions

How about showing your 10 favorite things about where you live? Or your 10 favorite haunts? I've been meaning to do something like that.

One photo into your project and already this problem? Perhaps you should take a picture of your camera and post it in ebay. :)

@thedorkygirl A profile pic is a must - doesn't have to be your face of course!! Why not click on the 'browse' tab and have a look at latest, popular, new faces selections... they change all the time and are always inspiring! Good luck and welcome to 365.

May be the unpopular opinion but I agree with @soren! Everyone runs into issues wondering what to take photos of but on day one? That's a bit much haha

Light. It's all about the light. I spend more time chasing the light than I do working out what to take.
March 17th, 2013
I agree with all @ellimae said above. Just get out there and have fun and before you know it, you'll be a pro too. Good luck. :)

Hi, walk out the door and look around. If something strikes you as unusual/interesting then just take a picture. Great thing about digital photos you can get a good idea of the result straight away, and then you can have another go.
Better still use 365 as inspiration

Audrey, I would say go into the garden or parks, for starters just look at the ground, take anything, and look on your screen, you can see any mistakes. There are reasons why they are too dark or too light, in or out of focus. This way you get to know your camera.
Photography has a long learning curve.
Don't worry about those who laugh, they are the photographers we would rather be without
