Two great downloadable apps that can really enhance cell phone photos: Camera+ and Pro HDR X. Very affordable and simple to use, even if the user isn't thoroughly familiar with DSLR basics.
The iPhone Photography School is a paid program, but they also post free videos on their website and YouTube. All include ads to sign up for the paid course, but the videos are helpful nevertheless. As the name suggests, iPhone based.
I got the most from iPhone Photography School. My favorite editing app is free and very capable. It is Snapseed. It is a google app, but works well on iPhone and iPad and does not have ads. I learn tons form 365 and also from A Year With My Camera....skip the first few lessons they don’t apply to cell phones, but the rest of it is terrific.
It's a really great editing ap, I highly recommend it.
