RSPB big bird watch. What have you had in your garden this weekend?

This weekend is the RSPB's big bird watch, where you count how many birds you get in your garden or park etc in one hour. have a look on their website if you fancy a go. Let me know how you get on & post if you get any nice photo's.

I did this today while I was sat at work on an industrial estate! No photos, but saw robins and blue-tits!

A bald eagle and what I think was some kind of hawk flew past my apartment window yesterday afternoon. (I love this country!)

Awful photos as I just grabbed a quick shot through the tinted double-glazing, and they were a long way away.

I did this today Blackbird, Dunnock, Blue Tits, Robin and a blackcap in the hour,
I sometimes see more in the hour, I do this every week for the BTO garden bird watch survey

Ducks and Mallards on the river. Their usual ponds and lakes have been frozen over in this extended cold snap below freezing.

I did it! Seemed to have lower numbers of birds than most days but I saw goldfinches, robins, dunnocks, great tits, coal tits, blue tits, long tailed tits, jackdaws, starlings, chaffinches, blackbirds and collared doves.

I saw a red kite in mine! Ok, it was in my boyfriends' garden, but I was staying there at the time :) We also got some blue tits, chaffinches and two robins.

i didn't get any good pictures, but i did the bird watch too and saw 3 magpies, 3 wood pigeons and 2 collared doves :)

my picture was of some ducks which don't count!
