So here it is again, the popular weekly photo highlights!
What's your favourite photo from 15-21 September? Let us know by posting them here by copying and pasting the code from the 'Share' box that's in your photo page. Part of the challenge is only selecting one picture, so no cheating!
To begin this thread here's my favourite from between these dates (taken on 16 September):
It's hard to choose this week because they are my vacation photos and I really like all of them. So I've narrowed it down to this one. I managed to get some bokehs with this one.
I always love seeing what everyone's personal favorites are. As usual, lots of amazing shots in here! I don't think I had a very good week photographically, but I ended up being torn between yesterday's shot and this one:
This was my choice:) The cloudy sky contrasts with the joy of the colors. Mexico is celebrating the bicennential of its Independence and the centennial of its Revolution. So join us in the Happy-Bdays!
This here, because portraiture is what I do, and what connects me best with a picture. When I took this I was just giving the subject a bit of an intro to photography (she is considering her future, and was asking about it), so I was just sitting at my desk when I said, "Sit there, and face the door." I directed her to turn her head slightly, and took one shot. And there it was - exactly what I'd seen in my head before I picked up the camera. For me, this is penultimate - it took a long time to get to the point where I could do that, and so this one makes me smile, because it reminds me that I know who I am as a photographer now.
Well, that was probably a horrific explanation. ;)
There are so many beautiful pictures on this thread. For me, this one is my favorite, because I thought of it first, and then was able to create it, instead of seeing something that was already there to capture. It is a view of my sun dappled yard through the curtain.
This is my fave - I only took it as a last minute ideas because I had taken some other shots that day and my memory card stuffed up and I lost them all!! everything happens for a reason I guess!! I thought a good one for the theme of "Lines" and something different....
for me it has been one of the best weeks since I arrived in Patagonia more than 6 months ago, so I had a difficult time chosing because each photo is a document of a special day, but I chose this one because I so rarely take photos of people's faces. Plus the little girl was just tooooooo cute for words. I love this thread every week and seeing what each 365er likes about his-her own work.
Here's my fav...b/c finding this shot was a happy accident that I never would have seen if I didn't push myself to get out of the house while I wasn't feeling well!
This was a good moment for us. She is always willing at any time on any day to stop what she's doing and pose for me. The heart & body of a child and the mind of someone far older. I think I'm in for some trouble in a few years...after all, she's my kid :)
Here's mine from the week... several that I like a lot, but I love this one because it includes 2 of my favorite things to photograph - sunsets, and my kids!
Not my best of the week, but my favourite because it was such a fun moment. I actually submitted this shot to the Jone's Soda site and got a "Staff Pick" on it, so it will likely end up on a Jone's Soda lable...
i wasn't really in love with any of my photos this week (though i do love some of my subjects). i went with this because it was the closest to what i was trying to achieve.

I didn't really like these shots on their own, but together, they're kinda alright :)
Here's mine.
The first fall colors

this is my fave from last week...it was taken saturday 9/18 at the magic kingdom in disney world....with my p&s with no editing....
It was a tossup between this one and my water drop photo. I love how this one turned out and I'm sad that the butterfly season is over.
But the narcissist in me likes my new self-portrait (seen in my avatar.) Artist wins.
or.. maybe this one..
i am not sure really aha
I know right.. I just can't choose.
Or maybe I'm just too lazy :)
makes me happy just looking at her...
I just wish I knew what this is...

Dull inspiration this week, so this was probably my highlight:

How the heck do you put the picture on here?
I thought it was a pic of someone else...Doh!
Ok one of mine. I'll go with this one:
Emotionally :
i enjoyed shooting in this place.......
I'm really glad I took this photo, it was my last of the day and I got an amazing response.
I mean, c'mon, it is Ronald McDonald. How could it not be my favorite for the week?
