For those of you had followed me last year prior to my stopping in October know the reason was because my son had sudden unexplained heart failure. Since then he has been living with an LVAD which is basically a pump, partially inside and partiallly outside his body. But last night they got the call that there was a heart for him. As of now, 6:50PM on Tuesday, he is in preop waiting for the heart. I have never put much faith in prayer and good thoughts having an affect on anything, but now I do. So, if you have a minute send some good vibes toward my son Kevin in Cedars Sinai hospital in Los Angeles. I will post again tomorrow. ........... Oh, darn, I still have to put a pic up today.
That is WONDERFUL news! God is so good, you keep praying, and now I will too. And I will send this out to my prayer group as well Ray. Please keep us updated!
i remember reading your story last year. i'm glad to hear that they've found a heart for your son. I'm sending all positive thoughts and healing energy to your son and your family. . .thank you for the update.
While I started after you took your important break, I wish the best of luck tomorrow and that the recovery will be successful, easy and uncomplicated. A friend just had a kidney transplant a few weeks back from a stranger, so I know there is a whole network of people that will wish your family the best.
Prayers and postive thoughts are being sent for your son and your entire family! You must be both elated and scared to death at the same time since receiving the news. I hope all goes well with his upcoming surgery and recovery! My daughter has been on the organ donor list for a kidney for several years so I know what it feels like waiting for that phone call! :)

Don't want to hijack your thread but my Daddy has a VAD! Here is a photo of him with his. He is alive and WELL today because of it! He has had it two years now. It saved his life!! Praying for your son!
I remember your story... good thoughts and prayers are coming your way for everyone involved, doctors, nurses, donor family, and especially your son. So happy for you...
I am sending prayers for Kevin and your entire family. And God Bless the family grieving their loved one, but caring enough to allow his heart to go on beating for Kevin. Hang in there!!!

I hope by the time you read any of these messages your son is over the first hurdle towards full recovery. Thinking of you all and also the kind family that allowed their loved ones heart to be transplanted.

hello, i saw your post and please know you are in in many the thoughts and prayers of so many. this site may comfort you; we used the images to help youth who loudly proclaimed there is no God anywhere to wrap their minds around the concept of spirituality when i worked with foster kids; www.unitedearth.com.au/watercrystals.html it is the work of masuru emoto. every interesting stuff and at least might give you something to do to wile away the time while you wait. you and yours are in my prayers.

Life and health are such a precious thing - held by a fine thread. My prayers are with you and your family and the donor families loss. I have been been an organ donor for a long time.
