Thanks to Sarah @sarahlth for starting the landscape challenge back in January and inspiring us to capture the natural beauty that surrounds us.
Thanks also to Wendy @farmreporter for hosting the last challenge, everyone who participated, and those who voted for my image ‘Sundown, Easter Sunday’. Now it falls to me to host the next round, Landscape 4.
You are free to use any photographic technique you like to capture a landscape. You may enter as many times as you like, but your entry must be taken and posted within the challenge time frame to be considered as a finalist. The starting date will be immediately: Friday April 27th and will run until Friday May 18th (closing at midnight in your time zone). This gives you three weeks to go out and capture the beauty of the landscape.
After the closing date I’ll choose my favourite images for you to vote on, and the winner will get the opportunity to host the next landscape challenge.
I’m looking forward to seeing your images. Please also share them in this thread (optional) so everyone else can enjoy them and be inspired to join the challenge!
@nzkites Thanks for posting the first entry and sharing it here. @pistache Traditionally I think the definitions of 'landscape' and 'cityscape' would be separate from each other, but I think people, animals or man-made structures (eg buildings) would be acceptable in a landscape as long as they weren't the sole focus of the image. I believe a landscape image should showcase our natural surroundings.
Hi everyone, a search for images tagged with 'landscape' brings up many lovely scenes. Don't forget to also tag them 'landscape-4' to enter this comp, which runs from Apr 27th to May 18th. Looking forward to many more entries showcasing the natural beauty of the places you live, or are travelling in these two weeks!
This challenge has now closed for entries. I will choose finalists in the next few days, but please bear with me as there are 73 entries to work through!
