Let me add a quick plug for ranked-choice voting. Without it, we would have had a 3-way tie for first. With it, we do not need a run off, because the 2nd, 3rd, etc. votes break the tie. This video is a good explanation about how the process works.

It's more work for the moderator, but it gives a fairer indication of the voters' favorites.
