Postcards #4

Those were times when writing was an exercise in synthesis, taking care of the meanings and letting go the form.

Writing... synthesis... meaning... form...
This disciplined attitude towards coexistant empathy has become rarer. The fragmentation increases, the positioning of the individual in larger contexts decreases. A feeling for meaning, value, form and shaping towards a whole are increasingly lost. Unfortunately, this change doesn't just affect writing. It is increasingly reshaping all areas of life.
But maybe I'm just too old, falling out of the context of today's way of life.

@seattlite @annied @spanner @taffy @aikiuser @jerome Thank you kindly. You know I love reading your comments even if I don’t reply immediately, don’t you? It’s in South Tyrol, Pustertal, to be precise. One of my sister-in-law’s sons is running a very neat hut-hotel, that can be reached only by a 1,5 hours walk. A lovely retreat, that happens to be on a dream trek from Munich to Venice I hope I will be able to walk before it’s too late.
