2015 November 25: Taking a short break from my Thanksgiving baking this afternoon, I glanced out my kitchen window and spotted this beautiful male Downy woodpecker perched on our deck. I had a wonderful time clicking away and giving him a nice photo shoot ...until he happened to glance over his shoulder. Once he spotted me, the gig was up!
