2017.07.06 Thursday: Bright and early this morning I was awakened by a sheriff's deputy knocking on my door. He was there to deliver the horrible news that the police of the town in which my sister lived had contacted them to say that my sister had died; with none of my family living in that area, they had managed to locate someone who knew my address so they could inform me.
It turns out that Carol had experienced a quite-unexpected heart attack while she slept; most likely she never awoke to call for help.
Carol loved roses; to honor her memory I dug into my archives to find a pic of some beautiful ones that I had taken at the Botanical Gardens.
Oh, I am so sorry for your loss, Dinah. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this sad time. This rose photo is gorgeous...a wonderful image to honor Carol's memory.
