2015 November 27: Although we enjoy getting together with our relatives, my family misses sitting around our own table enjoying our own favorite Thanksgiving foods ...so we instituted the tradition of having our own family Thanksgiving meal on the day after.
This is a snippet of our wonderful meal of smoked turkey (Michael smoked it for 21 hours!), dressing, mashed potatoes with gravy, sweet potato casserole, corn, stuffed eggs, and croissant. It will take us several days to eat all of this, so it is good that we enjoy leftovers!
