2016.03.21 Monday: Our neighborhood has an abundance of Bradford Pear Trees dotting the landscape in every direction ...and this year they have all been in full, brilliant-white bloom. Today I noticed the first signs that the blooms are giving way to the wonderful spring greenery as their leaves emerge from their winter rest.
@susiemc Thanks! Bradford Pear trees are ornamental ...They are beautiful, though, so people don't seem to mind that they don't actually produce pears.
@merrelyn It is a pity that they don't produce fruit ...From the amount of blooms on these trees, they would produce enough pears for the entire neighborhood if they weren't just ornamental.
