2016.04.03 Sunday: One of my favorite local nurseries is celebrating spring by having an event each weekend in April and May. For today's event they grilled chicken and offered free beverages (bottled water and colas). They also had a small petting zoo set up with various bunnies, goats, and chickens. It was quite fun!
This particular nursery is very well landscaped - not just a bunch of greenhouses set up as most of them are. They have a series of walks throughout their beautiful gardens with greenhouses, benches, and gazebos interspersed. In fact, they are a public birding Hotspot on eBird!
I managed to restrain myself from buying any plants today, as we still have weather near freezing in the forecast. However, I did look through every greenhouse on the property while taking photos of the plants that I plan to buy when the weather warms enough to plant outdoors. I was quite pleased with my self-control!
