2016.05.23 Monday: Last year was the first time that I ever saw a White Russian Supertunia Petunia, although they have been around since 2011. I immediately loved its wonderful white blossoms with a deep maroon center.
When I brought one home last year, I was looking forward to watching it flourish and bloom ...but within a week a bunny ate it all the way down to the ground!
This year I bought one from the garden center, brought it straight home, and immediately planted it in a hanging basket which I hung high from my deck. There is no way that a rabbit could reach it there -- so it has flourished and spread; its beautiful blooms now grace the view from my kitchen window.
