2016.06.02 Thursday: The weather in my area lately has been quite dry ...The grass is now brown and crunchy, flowers are wilting, and we have been mindful to water our garden every day. At times the heat and dryness have made stepping outdoors feel like stepping into a convection oven.
So last night I was thrilled to hear the low rumble of thunder and the joyous sound of falling raindrops! I immediately dashed outside to fully experience this welcome phenomenon -- from the shelter of my porch, of course!
The flowers in my flower bed seemed to be straightening to meet the coolness of the downpour; this pansy was glorious as it stood gracefully adorned with the glittering jewels of the water drops.
