2016.06.08: This year I signed up to participate in the 30 Days Wild challenge for the month of June. Today I picked the "Random Acts of Wildness" prompt "Note/List Your sightings."
This one connected with me because for years I have filed a near-daily report with eBird, listing my backyard birding observations. Several years ago when I first began, I used a small notebook and pen to record my sightings -- but this year I began using their smartphone app ...I have to admit that the app is much quicker and easier!
Good for you filing so many reports with eBird! I can imagine how much fun you've had, and the information you provide is so worthwhile. It's amazing how technology is taking over so much of what we do. Super take on today's prompt! Such pretty colors in this picture!
@hermann Thanks! It is my understanding that eBird is global ...and I believe that the app works world-wide also. (Their app says, "Enter bird observations from any location around the world.") It is available for both Android and iOS, I believe. You can also enter sightings on the computer as well. It is a great place to keep up with one's Life List, enter birding photos ...as much or as little as one wants to make of it :)
