2016.06.28 Tuesday: I have never grown sunflowers before, so it was a thrill today to see that our first-ever bloom has now opened. It is beautiful; I am quite pleased with it!
Ohhh, you captured this stunning sunflower so beautifully! I love the clarity, and the dof really sets it off perfectly. What a gorgeous color, and the birds will certainly be happy with all the seeds!
@mrforja I like to keep my seed packets for reference, so I am happy to know that this one is "Autumn Beauty" by Ferry-Morse seed company. It comes in mixed color gold, rust, and orange bi-color blooms; plants get 4-6 feet tall.
