2016.07.04 Monday: I and my family had a wonderful day of celebration of America's birthday.
During the day we had our traditional meal of Chicken Stew and watermelon, and for dessert our special favorite Cream Cheese Delight topped with strawberries and blueberries. Despite the heat of the day we got out to our garden to admire the wonderful variety of sunflowers now blooming.
As night fell, many of our neighbors shot off a wonderful array of glorious fireworks, so we stood in the darkness to enjoy them and get some photographs. To our delight, as the fireworks were streaming through the sky a storm began a few miles north of us ...We also got to watch "God's amazing fireworks" as bolts of lightning flashed in the distance.
When the fireworks stopped, we came back inside just as raindrops began heavily falling; we were blessed with a nice amount of much-needed rain for our plants. All-in-all, it was a wonderful summer day and night!
