2017.09.19 Tuesday: When we bought our home 18 years ago, it had beautiful wooden 9-paned windows. However, the home was already rather aged when we bought it; the windows at that time were getting rather hard to open and close.
In the intervening years, the wood was subjected to even more swelling and shrinking as our weather alternated from hot to cold, and from humid to dry. The windows became impossible to open -- This was hard on me, as I love to fling the windows open in all types of weather!
So several years ago we began the process of replacing the windows in all three levels of our home with new, better-insulated, easy-to-open and easy-to-clean ones. This weekend we finally installed new windows in the last remaining level and celebrated finally having this project finished!
This is the view through my new utility room window ...I quite enjoy the clear view out!
