2018.03.09 Friday: Today I was thrilled to see an Eastern Phoebe perched on our deck ...This is the first time that I have seen one up close and out in the open! I only managed a quick snap before he decided to move on, so I was happy to at least have this pic of this wonderful bird.
@anniesue Hi! Thanks for commenting! I need to look closer into how to encourage phoebes to stay in my yard. They live in my area year-round, but their primary food is flying insects (wasps, flies, moths, etc.). I must be putting out some seed that they like, but I don't know which seed is their fav :)
I haven't seen any of these pretty little birds in my yard although I think they're in my area year-round also. How fortunate for you to be able to get a shot of this one before he moved on. :-)
