2019.01.29 Tuesday: Each winter my area usually gets 1"- 2" of snow and ice ...For the past few days everyone was certain that today would be the day for that occurrence this year. Last night the National Weather Service issued a Winter Storm warning for our area, while local weathermen warned everyone not to get out on icy roads. Yesterday area schools and businesses announced that they would be closed today.
We all were quite surprised this morning to wake up to a dry, sunny, beautiful winter day! Although an arctic cold front did reach us and lower temperatures down to quite cold, there was no ice or snow to be found.
At the end of the day we were treated to a gorgeous colorful sunset ...a beautiful ending to a beautiful day!
