The Blue Leanie. by dulciknit

The Blue Leanie.

Many, many thanks to everyone who views and comments on my photos, and also for the faves and follows; they're all very much appreciated.
Please view on magnified setting.
This building houses offices of HBOS, a UK banking and insurance firm. It's known locally as the Blue Leanie because of the blue tinted, obscuring glass windows, and the building is shaped a bit like a cube that some giant has rested against and squished sideways, so that the whole thing looks like it's leaning .
I drive past it when I go into Aylesbury (which I did today to do some shopping) and think "Must go and get some shots of that", then promptly forget. I remembered today. I liked this shot best, even though it doesn't show the view that gave the building its nickname. There'll be another time.... :-)
This is a great pic. I'm glad you explained the building because at first it looks like distortion but now I can tell it isn't. The reflections look really cool too.

A great perspective of this building, and I think you chose the time of year well, the bare branches and white sky complement the building well.

Wonderful looking building. I have an architecture competition in January, perhaps I will try and get up there to snap this next week. Thanks for sharing.
