Better on large view if you have a moment.
There's an old saying "Blue and green should never be seen". I don't know who thought that one up but honestly, what a load of old baloney! OK, there's some shades that don't work together but most of them go well. I liked the blues and greens in this scene.
Lester has been repairing and tuning another melodeon for someone who lives near Portsmouth, so he volunteered to return it in person so that we could have a day trip and a wander round the area.
This is a view of Southampton Water from Hythe in Hampshire, a pretty little town that also has a marina full of posh boats, and desirable waterside houses and apartments.

I'm an abstract photography enthusiast but not exclusively so.

The blue and greens certainly complement each other here. Gives us summer. The lovely tree with it's shade gives us a place to sit and view that great curve of the walkway and beyond.
I really like the pattern of the shade on the grass! I'm more drawn to it than to the water and bridge even. They seem pale in comparison. Looks like a beautiful day!
Yes, my mother brought me up with that saying, but it was soon abandoned in the 1970s when we started to wear anything with anything; and of course it's nonsense, as you lovely shot shows. Like those shadows, too.
Enlarged, I love the look of the pier out into the water. Your pov really pulls your eye on out. The colors are a perfect compliment and shout summer. I like this shot.
