Bulrushes by dulciknit

Bulrushes

This is the first time I've been able to get a clear shot of a bulrush stem; they're usually in a place I can't physically get to or else there's too much else happening around them to get a clear, uncluttered shot.
I got lucky at Emberton today. And managed a portrait format too - quite something for me, I have terrible trouble composing a shot in that format!

Like this. I've tried to get to these also - and found the same obstacles, but do like your shot.

I learned a new word! We call them cattails here. It is a lovely shot of them

Nice detail. Strange how we think in landscape or portrait. I suspect that the majority of my shots are portrait. Perhaps it is a function of how we perceive the world in the first place and I have my head in the clouds?
