My husband shoots in 3D. This was just one of his rigs a while back. He was also known to attach 2 cameras to a homemade holder with button that would make both snap at the same time. Now I see him more often do "cha-cha" shots - just shoot 2 shots with his Pixel and create 3D photos in processing.
Years ago I purchased a "Stereoscope Camera" that produced 3D images when seen through the viewer! It was very cool, but did require film, so haven't used it in absolute years...and wonder where it actually is anymore!
I have a Go Pro 360 and it takes really cool videos BUT it's complicated because it involves stitching images together with buggy software. My son had to do it for me so I don't bother using it.
