I'll be honest I downloaded a free app on my iPhone which creates different types of kaleidoscope effects on photos and was dying to try it out.
This is actually a photograph of spring violets which arrive as if by magic each year right under our back doorstep. I cannot see any soil but somehow they grow, more each year, in the little crack beneath the step. I can't promise I won't be using this effect again - perhaps I should do a weeks worth… maybe that would be a bit too much!
I should add that this mornings photo shoot went really well but I don't like to post photos of other people when I am photographing specifically for them. A lovely family who even made sandwiches in their picnic for me - might make that a requirement for future shoots!
