A return visit to the Landmark Centre this morning to check that my prints were still on the panel (and not the floor) and that nothing needed adjusting.
I was in a rush yesterday so I took time today to capture views of the Landmark Centre to show the work of the Richmond and Twickenham Photographic Society's annual exhibition. This will be open from the 9th to the 21st of April including the Easter weekend for anyone to come and have a look. There is also a shop with greeting cards, books and other photography items for sale (you can see my new spinner in the second photo down on the right!).
My panel is called 'Impressions of Burma' and it was extremely difficult to narrow down my choice to just 6-images that I felt reflected Burma for me. You can also see I have been busy with my self promotion… business cards on display and I have even managed to create my own QR code - very swish.
For anyone that is local to Teddington in Middlesex, here is a link to the club website with full details of the exhibition - please come along.
@steampowered It's not just me (that would be an accolade!), I'm with friends and others from the photo club. It is a fantastic space and only 5 minutes walk from home so I'll have no problem enjoying a glass of vino tomorrow at the Private View!!
@emmadurnford Smashing. BTW John Clements sends his regards again. I met him at Park Cameras last weekend when I attended two of his crash courses (one on metering and exposure and the other on getting the best in-camera colour)
I cannot believe how good that course was. I did a family photo-shoot outside in Bushy Park last Monday and the difference it made to my images! I had a lot higher 'hit' rate with images looking naturally filled rather than having that 'I've used a flash' look. It helped that the mum has been a TV presenter and so was used to cameras so she taught me a thing or to about good poses and their daughter, although only four years old was a real joy to work with - very good. The only worrying bit was that they wanted to chimp my images as I went along so I used John's phrase "I was being creative"!!
Congratulations on all the great things happening, all extremely well deserved! Those pictures from Burma look brilliant. It appears the Landmark Centre is a very impressive place for this exhibit.
