Colin has been developing our garden with a nature area with an insect 'hotel' made from the trimmed walnut tree branches. In the process he found this lovely toad sheltering under a flower pot and a smooth newt in the undergrowth. The newt was a very quick mover and so I didn't manage a sharp photo before he made it into the pond but the toad was more obliging!
he is lovbely Emma, look at his golden eyes! So glad Colin is developing a nature area, I'm sure you will both enjoy it, and some great pictures will be one of the results.
