18th June 2014

This is the Grace Dieu school rocket team from Leicestershire taking part in this years National Physical Laboratory's (NPL) Annual Water Rocket Challenge.

The aim is to launch rockets powered by water/air pressure and land them in designated target zones, whilst trying to earn extra bonus points for long flight duration. The schools events are in the day and people travel from across the country and even as far as from India for this day.

It is amazing to see and the outfits are just as important as the rocket device itself!
I never knew that rocket scientists looked like this! Love the group portrait.
