The 'Scrubs'.

Another day another hospital. What we have discovered is that the name of the hospitals bear absolutely no relation whatsoever to their actual location!

Today we visited Hammersmith hospital for another MRI for Colin… in East Acton. In our quest to seemingly have to visit all of Londons hospitals we have also been to the Charing Cross hospital… in Hammersmith. The Queen Charlotte and Chelsea hospital was next door to the Hammersmith… in East Acton. Finally we also paid a visit to Kingston hospital last month… in Norbiton!!

This is Wormwood Scrubs which would look an intimidating building even if you didn't know that it is a prison for 'Cat A' prisoners. Luckily we had no need to visit it today and passed on by.

I tried to post process my iPhone shot to make it look more intimidating and I only noticed the large crow (or more probably a Jackdaw) on the left turret whilst working on it this evening.

(Best viewed on black if you have time for intimidating impact!)
Looks like a castle!

It is intimidating. Good luck with the visits.

Yes, quite intimidating, but still more attractive than its name. Emma, have you thought of doing a series of "get well" cards with pictures of all the London hospitals? :) Seriously, I hope these visits will help Colin.
