Todays the day - travel for us to Folkestone before taking ‘Le Shuttle’ tomorrow to Germany and also for my very good friend Sarah. She’s leaving Raynes Park and South West London forever to move down to Dorset - good luck my friend.
However before we headed off on our travels I had some cards to post and a quick trip to Twickenham to deliver two prints for sale to a customer at The Hive. At the same time Colin was travelling to the dentist in St Margarets as his new crown is hurting and we are hoping it’s nothing serious. We rendezvoused later on the R68 on the way back to Teddington! Luckily there is nothing seriously wrong with his tooth and it seems it is just settling down.
We enjoyed lunch at Côte and then I packed the car whilst Colin did the final checks around the house.
I was driving the first stretch to Folkestone and it was certainly busy on the roads with a lot of traffic issues including massive tailbacks and a closure of the M20 due to concerns for someone’s welfare… a possible suicidal person on the bridge which was really sad.
We finally made it to the Premier Inn and after a self check-in we have a very nice (rather bijou) room overlooking some greenery. We dined on sandwiches and wraps with fruit juice from M&S!
