Oh dear! A journey of over 10.5 hours that has definitely got to win the prize for being the worst so far. It started well with a fairly smooth boat crossing to the mainland and then went downhill with 8.5 hours in a very old minibus with 8 other people and all our luggage (obviously NOT big enough), a failing A/C system - and a driver who obviously preferred the circuitous route to Kuala Tahan. The additional continuous beeping of a faulty door sensor for the second half of the journey was the last straw.
So... by the time we finally arrived at Taman Negara National Park - one of the last and largest areas of jungle in Malaysia - the light was fading fast as a monsoon approached so this was the sharpest out of 3 ‘grab shots’ from the veranda of our accommodation of the jungle at dusk!
