Ten days ago I photographed our walnut tree ( http://365project.org/emmadurnford/365/2013-04-29). Just over a week later it is starting to come into leaf with amazing red leaves. These take about 3-4 weeks to turn bright green and open out. I just like the way our tree visualises the seasons for us, it makes me feel happy seeing that Summer is coming!
This a glorious shot, wonderful pov which creates a soaring feeling. Trees are so very beautiful, and I think we take them for granted too often. Obviously you don't, though! This has to be a fav for me!
@tristansmum I love them although our neighbour has a problem as 'trees make a mess'... i.e. drop leaves!! This is only about 30 years old but it is a lovely shape now thanks to some tree surgery a few years ago by a qualified family friend.
