"I see what you mean"... a.k.a. 'Blue Bear'!

Our first day on our grand tour of the U.S. in Denver (well Colorado, Wyoming and Illinois) and then onto Eastern Canada. This was the main sight that I wanted to see in Denver and I was not disappointed although the lighting was not good with a strong shadow across Blue Bear. He is a 40 foot high art installation created by Lawrence Argent in 2005 and is looking into the Colorado Convention Centre.

Although this was not my best shot of the day, I really like Blue Bear so he had to be my choice for today!

Some more images from a very hot day in Denver on FaceBook - https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.605373532848665.1073741871.186301661422523&type=1
Hello Emma, greetings from Edmonton, Canada. I saw this on the browse page. I can see why you wanted to see this. What a great statue

@bkbinthecity Thank you, I was really looking forward to seeing him and he is massive! Denver is a great place for public art but this is definitely my favourite!

This is amazing - never heard of him! Imagine a young child seeing him for the first time!

Love this one, fancy working there and having that staring at you all day. Be wicked

Wow that is very cool. Enjoy your travels.

He immediately made me think of Pooh Bear seeking a lost pot of honey. He really is impressive! Enjoy your travels, hope we can meet when you're in Toronto.

Oh, that's so cool!
So you're going to be in Quebec later this month?!... How many days?

I love the Blue Bear. Miss them in New Zealand. Fun shot.

@helixconcepts Hi there, apols for the delayed reply. We are in Yellowstone at the moment and have 2-days in Quebec (arriving later on the 22nd) on the 23-24th and then heading over to I'le D'Orleans for a night on the 26th :-)

@tristansmum Hi there, as with Laura above, sorry for the lack of comments and delayed responses, this is the first time we have had the internet in our room at Yellowstone. So much more civilised to sit with a cup of tea in peace and quiet rather than communal lounges. We would love to meet up and will obviously be travelling all around Toronto whilst there so nearer the time I'll email and see where abouts you may be (if you are free) so we can meet up. So sorry I've not had a chance to look at your images, I'll put that right soon!!
