8th December 2013

After all the excitement in the city yesterday, we had a quiet walk to Bushy Park to check out the mistletoe.

This is Bushy House, a former Royal residence originally built in 1663 and rebuilt in 1715. It appears to be in Bushy Park but there is actually a ha-ha to stop the deer getting into the grounds!
So beautiful! I would like to be there!

Lovely shot, great sense of perspective.

Love the light and the distance in this shot. Just the word "ha-ha" makes me think of Jane Austen, though I guess this building is about a century earlier than her novels.

@digibugchic @busylady We are lucky to have such a lovely park in walking distance from home @taz_o It's really strange as some trees are totally bare but others still fairly well covered, I thought it might be down to the type of tree but I have seen some of the beautiful Oaks bare and others still covered in leaves @tristansmum it is older than Austen but the ha-ha concept is the same. The deer really make short work of any small trees or planted beds so this is an attempt to preserve the gardens!
