This is a picture I made in 2012 on the beach of Inchydoney (West Cork, Ireland). It is the third and last starting image I am proposing for the WWYD202 challenge.
Large ephemeral sand circles like that are created in the same spirit as mandalas. They use very basic tools and techniques like ropes, sticks and rakes (a bit like crop circles, for the ones of you who might be familiar with the concept). They can only be made on large and shallow sand beaches with a cliff overlook, and they require a full team of participants, as the available time frame is strongly limited by the tide schedule.
Oh my. That is so cool. Amazing how they coordinate that. I hope you saw a good portion of the endeavor. Must be fascinating to watch. Looks like you took the shot from a good pov.
