Tough Choices

Holy Rosary Institute, Lafayette, Louisiana

Sometimes it's sad to watch a building deteriorate, especially one with historic significance. The state legislature failed to provide funds for restoration of this one--but times are tough and money is tight....

This is a wonderful capture.

It is sad to see buildings decay. You've captured the character of this one perfectly.

I love old buildings and we sadly don't have many here for the same reason. The cost of restoration and having to make them more earthquake proof. Many beautiful old buildings were lost in the Christchurch earthquakes a few years back. This is a great image and love the black & white.

You can still hope that funds will get available. it would be ashamed to let this beautiful building go. I posted a picture on the 19th of a railroad bridge which was still in service at that time but the train had to go across real slow. the bridge required some repair. now we were told that the town wanted to get rid of it. people got together and finally it's now under repair. pls. have a look at my picture.
