I found Bushong with the help of a series of books about ghost towns in Kansas. Kansas ghost towns aren't necessarily deserted; they may be towns where most of the people have moved away but some remain. Bushong was like that: many buildings like this one, the school and many homes are in varying states of ruin. But some houses and the church are still well-kept. I think the stop signs reflect the spirit of the people who still live here.
I'm trying to fill in some of my blank days in September before starting the Local Wonders challenge for October.
Great contrast between the stop sign and the ruined building. The other sign seems to be pointing the wrong way which adds to the air of mystery. Nicely seen and captured.
