I always wanted to name a photo after the book by that name, by Louisiana author James Lee Burke.
We had a remarkable fog on the Mississippi River today--it looked almost like a San Francisco fog. As I was taking photos on the levee, a man appeared out of the mist and trees on the batture. He was dressed almost like someone from another time--leather hat, field coat--and was carrying not the usual backpack but a tattered suitcase. He had a strange story...and gave me his business card. But I did not want to linger long enough to take a closeup of him.
Wow- talk about being at the right place at the right time. This is a really intriguing shot- especially because of the character emerging from the mist.
