Bride and groom

Not sure I understand this bride and groom from the 1920's. Miniature kewpie dolls? They were in my mother's things, and I think she told me years ago that they were supposed to top a wedding cake. I imagine the bride's dress, which now looks like a grass skirt, was once white. Her veil is literally crumbling. But what about the grooms attire?
Hilarious They look like they are made of celluloid

Oh dear- X-rated wedding toppers from 1920! She's got no top and he's got no bottom!! Ok, maybe her dress slipped down over the years and his trousers may have been crepe paper like his top hat and have since withered away but it sure makes you wonder!!

I found an interesting site on Rose O'Neill who is the creator of the Kewpie. ( https://timeline.com/kewpie-doll-rose-oneill-480de6506035 ) Who can tell about the 1920's, a wild and crazy time.
