Sorry Amazon. You are convenient, but can you offer me the nostalgia of this vintage typewriter AND Christmas cookies? Cavalier House Books offers book signings and personal service and, of course, cookies. I didn't realize how much I missed independent bookstores until recently visiting three in New Orleans and Denham Springs. I'm giving books for Christmas gifts.

It can’t be vintage!! I remember staff using these to type up financial statements! Great shot.

Oh so true- Amazon is good in a pinch, but it's so much more fun to wander through rows of books and check out the book covers. It sounds like this bookstore is really fun to to to.
