Those logs look very much like the ones at my house which are "supposed" to date from the 1830s (no real records). This is some confirmation that at least mid-1800s might not be too far off.

He bought and moved buildings and thousands of artifacts to his property, which he and his sister left to LSU. The buildings are often open, but this one was closed the day I went.
