Hide 'N Seek by evalieutionspics

Hide 'N Seek

When I was a little girl, I had a baby sitter named Corky. We weren't allowed to wallow around playing in the house, she sent us all outside, and we kept ourselves occupied playing tag, and building roads for our trucks, catching frogs, having spear grass fights, and racing each other up and down the sidewalk, and of course, playing hide 'n seek. I always won because the front steps were base and Corky had huge beds of canna flowers growing on either side of the steps. I liked to hide in there because no one thought to look for me there because THEY wouldn't hide there because they were afraid of the bugs and spiders. All I had to do was step out on to base...and they never figured it out! I was always afraid the squeaky sound would give me away, but it never did.
I really like this image of a canna flower seed pod.I like the wee shadows on the left-hand side from the texture and the depth of color from the morning sun.
Absolutely wonderful - image and story ☺
